406 Fly Line Trout

The Vintage Series was designed with simplicity in mind. There are two different lines, a double taper and a weight forward. The DT line is designed for more delicate dry fly work and the WF line accommodates a broader range of flies in the larger sizes. The come in a light olive color.

Both lines come in an 80±' length in sizes 3 through 5 and 90±' in sizes 6 through 8. We feel the extra length isn't needed in the smaller sizes and the shorter length will more easily accommodate the smaller reels that were used when your older rods were in their heyday. The WF lines come with a loop on the front of the line only.

With a thinner diameter than most fly lines currently available, 406 fly lines utilize AST technology, a patented dry-slick technology which provides continual line slickness, allowing the line to shoot farther as it moves through the guides. Lines with AST easily shed dirt, algae, and other parasitic drag particles, allowing lines to cast farther, float higher, and stay cleaner than traditional lines. They come in a light olive color.
